Assessing the Whole Learner

Modern education emphasises the overall development of the learner. Keeping pace with a changing system, the school has introduced the CCE (Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation) pattern for Classes I–X, under CBSE guidelines — building a holistic profile of every child through regular assessment of scholastic and co-scholastic domains, in a stress-free environment.

Continuous Evaluation, Three Tests a Year

  • The academic session is divided into a series of three evaluation tests, run as continuous evaluation.
  • A child's performance is assessed on the basis of all three evaluation tests together.
  • Grading covers both scholastic and co-scholastic performance.
  • Promotion to the next class is based on observation of continuous evaluation throughout the year.
A five-point rating scale is used across Classes I–V, shown alongside.

A+Outstanding90% – 100%
AExcellent75% – 89%
BVery Good56% – 74%

Two Terms, Formative + Summative

CCE for Classes VI–X covers every aspect of a student's development — work experience, art education, physical & health education, life skills, attitude towards teachers and peers, value system, and creative & scientific skills.

Term IApril – September
FA 1 + FA 2 + SA 1Formative & Summative
Term IIOctober – March
FA 3 + FA 4 + SA 2Formative & Summative
FA1+FA2+FA3+FA4 = 40% + SA1+SA2 = 60% = 100% Final Assessment
Promotion to the next class is based on observation of Continuous Evaluation throughout the year.

Monthly, Mid-Term & Final

The academic year for Class XI includes monthly evaluation tests, a mid-term examination and a final-term examination.

Attendance in all examinations is compulsory.
